What Is Liquid Rhinoplasty?
Liquid rhinoplasty is one of the newest nonsurgical treatments available from a facial plastic surgeon. Instead of needing several incisions to modify the shape of a nose, Dr. Davis uses injectable fillers during a nonsurgical treatment that can change several features of the nose, including:

What Are The Limitations Of Liquid Rhinoplasty?

The injectable fillers used during liquid rhinoplasty are suitable for concealing bumps or depressions to contour and smooth the existing nasal structure but are unable to repair damaged bone or cartilage.
A large percentage of patients who want rhinoplasty require a traditional procedure to correct major defects. For some nose abnormalities or due to a patient’s medical history, injectable fillers are not appropriate for correcting certain types of defects. Dr. Davis will examine a patient and evaluate their medical history to make a decision regarding a liquid rhinoplasty.
What Injectables Are Used In Liquid Rhinoplasty?
Hyaluronic acid fillers are used during liquid rhinoplasty procedures. Dr. Davis can choose from a variety of filler products, including:
- Juvederm®
- Perlane®
- Restylane®
All of these fillers are preferred because the injectables are easy for Dr. Davis to shape and mold or improve within 24-hours after a procedure when requested. Because injectable fillers are not a long-lasting way to change the shape of a nose, patients can choose to have a surgical nose job at a later time.
How Long Does A Liquid Rhinoplasty Last?
Injectable fillers are not a long-lasting way to change the appearance of the nose, and the results depend on several factors, including:
- The brand of injectable filler used
- Area of nose receiving filler during the treatment
- A patient’s individual response and healing time

In addition, the area of the nose receiving the injection can affect how long the filler provides results. Each patient metabolizes injectable fillers at a different rate, affecting the result. What Are The Instructions After A Liquid Rhinoplasty?
1. Ice Packs
For the first 24-hours after a liquid rhinoplasty, patients must apply ice packs frequently.
2. Elevate the Head
Place two pillows under the head to keep it elevated above the heart. Keep your head of bed elevated for the first 24 hours.
3. Treat the Nose Gently
Do not massage, apply pressure or push on the nose for two weeks after the liquid rhinoplasty.
4. No Strenuous Activities
Avoid activities such as contact sports for two weeks to avoid bumping the nose.
5. Using Makeup
Using makeup on the nose is acceptable with a gentle application.
6: Water is Acceptable
There is no danger if your nose becomes wet while showering, bathing or swimming as long as it is not pushed or bumped.
