How Is The Procedure Performed?
Earlobe repair normally takes almost one hour to perform, with almost no downtime involved. The area is first numbed with local anesthesia to enhance comfort. Dr. Davis makes a small incision near the area of stretching or tearing, which allows for the reshaping and cleaning of the damaged area, including behind the earlobe, the earlobe’s front surface, and the inner tissues of the ear. Extremely fine stitches help close up the incision at the conclusion of the procedure.

Before your procedure, you should keep the ear area clean and dry, particularly if there was a recent injury there. Avoid wearing jewelry. If you are prescribed antibiotics, you should take them and not wear makeup during the procedure.
